Citrix 2.0 Reset Citrix Receiver This document helps user to reset Citrix receiver in case of having any issues with Citrix receiver. 1.0 Reset Citrix Receiver - Windows. Put the server address as below in the next screen and click Add. On the next screen Put your Citrix Username/Password and click Log On. Reset the Citrix Receiver if everything else fails. This might cause accounts, apps, and cached files to be removed. Navigate to Receiver icon Advanced Preferences Reset Receiver. A prompt appears, asking if you want to reset the receiver. Click Yes, Reset Receiver and type the URL remote.ptlgateway.net in the popup box that appears next. Right click the Citrix button. Click the Advanced Preferences menu item. Click the Reset Citrix Workspace link. Click “Yes, reset Citrix Workspace”. Click the OK button. Type Click the Add button. Enter your username & password then click the Log On button.

The following steps can help reset Citrix and clear any hung sessions after a disconnect or if you experience issues opening applications.

  1. Close all Virtual Office CS applications.
  2. In your NetStaff CS Portal, launch the Log Off Applications utility.
  3. Type logoff in the field and press Continue.
  1. In the bottom right of your task bar, click on the up arrow to show your hidden icons.
  2. Right click on Citrix Receiver and select Advanced Preferences.
  3. In the About section, look for the Citrix Receiver version. If it is version 4.12.0.18020 (or 14.1.0.0 for some users, you can contact support to verify what version you should be on) follow the steps to Reset Citrix Receiver. If it is not the correct version, follow these steps to uninstall and reinstall Citrix.
  4. Go back to Advanced Preferences and select Receiver Updates.
  5. When asked to be notified when updates are available, select 'No, don't notify me'.
  6. Click Save.
  7. In the system tray, right click on Citrix Receiver and choose Exit.

Resetting Citrix Receiver is good troubleshooting step for many Citrix issues. Watch the video or follow the steps below for instructions.

  1. Open you Windows System Tray.

    Tip: Use your keyboard to press the Windows Key + B, then press Enter. It opens in the corner of your screen, where the date and time are displayed on your computer.

  2. Right-click the Citrix Receiver icon.
  3. Choose Advanced Preferences.
  4. Click Reset Receiver.
  5. Follow the prompts.
  6. When prompted to add an account, click Close.
  1. Browse to C:WindowsTemp and delete the contents of this folder. If you are prompted for action on files, select continue when possible and skip when it is not possible.
  2. Browse to C:Users[Windows User Name]AppDataLocalTemp and delete the contents of this folder. If you are prompted for action on some files, select continue when possible and skip when it is not possible.

    Note: You can type %temp% into the address bar of the Windows File Explorer and hit enter to get there quickly.

  3. Clear your browser cache. For instructions, see Deleting temporary internet files or cached files.

Follow the instructions below to log off a Virtual Office/SaaS Citrix Receiver session.

  1. Open the Windows system tray.
  2. Right-click Citrix Receiver icon and choose Connection Center
    • If you do not see the Citrix Receiver icon, see Citrix icon does not appear in the Windows system tray.
  3. Click the folder that represents your session and click the Log Off button. Show me.
  4. Click Yes to the question 'Are you sure you want to log off?”
    • If nothing happens, click Log Off again
    • If you are prompted to force log off, do that.
  5. Open the Citrix Connection Center again and verify that there are no sessions listed. If there is a session listed, attempt to log off again.

Try re-opening an application after following the troubleshooting steps above. Expect the first session to launch a bit slower as Citrix rebuilds the cached files.

When troubleshooting problems with Citrix, it is sometimes best to start with a clean slate. This articles shows you how to reset the Citrix Receiver, an application that enables you to access work applications securely and from anywhere. Note that some of the steps may be slightly different depending on the type of operating system that you are using, or any personalization settings that you've applied.

2Right click on it then select Advanced Preferences
3Select Reset Receiver from the menu, then confirm by clicking on Yes, reset Receiver. It will notify you once it's reset to the default settings.
4As the Citrix Receiver is now reset, you might need to add your account again. If the window appears asking for a server address, enter citrix.spd.adventist.org
5Enter your Domain username and password provided to you by the ACTS. It may ask you to enter your username and password a second time. You might like to select Remember my password so that it does not ask you for it in the future.
