I have upgraded my Office suite to 2016 version in Windows 10 computer. When I start using the Outlook 2016, I notice that the calendar reminders don’t pop up and other function are fine. The same problem also happens with Office 365 ProPlus on my Surface Pro 4 tablet. I have created Calendar and Task reminders in my primary folder and it just stop working. How can I resolve it?

Your Reminders folder may be damaged or contain corrupt items. To clear and regenerate your Reminders folder: If Outlook is open, quit the application. Press Win -R on the keyboard to open the 'Run' dialog box. In the 'Run' dialog box, type the following text in the 'Open' field: outlook /cleanreminders. Click OK or press Enter to exit the window. I have a user that sets reminders on his contacts to remind him to follow up with contacts. His reminder screen comes and he double clicks the reminder which takes him into the contact. He will change the reminder time/date and edit the note field (using the time stamp) and typing in a message.

The upgraded process may make the Reminders folder to be corrupted or damaged, you could try the method to clear them and regenerated at once.
* First you must close the Microsoft Outlook software.
* Press Win + R from your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
* Type the command:

• On startup of outlook I am presented with long list of reminders for appointments ocurring in the past. Tried clearing them by deleting the past appointments but the reminder list still appears on re-entering outlook. Any ideas would be appreciated.
• Clear all reminders in Microsoft Outlook. If you are going to clear all reminders existing in your Microsoft Outlook, please do as following: Step 1: Open the Reminder windows: In Outlook 2007, please click the View Reminders Window; In Outlook 2010 and 2013, please click the Reminders Window button on the View tab.
• Press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. Locate HKEYCURRENTUSER Software Microsoft Office xx.0 Outlook Options Reminders (where xx is 16 for Outlook 2016, 15 for Outlook 2013).

and click OK button. Running the command will open the Outlook to delete all reminders for email messages, specified appointments and task, and then repair them.

If your mail is configured with Exchange, delete the Corrupted cache. Open the Outlook, go to Options > Calendar options, and then delete offline items.

If it is still not working, go to make changes with registry editor.
* Press Win + R together, type regedit.exe, and click OK button to open the registry editor:

There should be a 16.0 key if you are using Outlook 2016, or be 15.0 for the 2013 version, and just select this key named 16.0 or 15.0, and continue go to the sub-key:

Clear Reminders In Outlook

* Go to its right side pane, hold-and-press or right click on the WindowsPos name to delete the string.
* Finally restart the Outlook to check if it takes effects.
