- 1. go to Cemu.info and download the latest patch, once it is completely downloaded, drag it to your desktop and extract or unzip it
- 2. download the latest version of Cemuhook - found here - https://sshnuke.net/cemuhook/ - and drag it to your desktop
- 3. put the Cemuhook folder into the Cemu folder build and extract it there, once thats complete, you are finished with that folder
- Graphics Packs (OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
- 1. Go to https://slashiee.github.io/cemu_graphic_packs/ and download the graphics pack for smash 4 and bring it to your desktop
- 2. drop the folder for your graphics pack into the Cemu folder labeled 'graphicsPacks' and extract it
- 3. you can do this for any game you want to play
- Shader Cache (ALSO OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
- 1. go to https://www.reddit.com/r/CEMUcaches/comments/7bv7el/complete_shader_cache_collection_1110c_v2/ and download the Smash 4 Shader Cache
- 2. drag the download to your desktop and extract the file
- 3. drop the files that show up into your Cemu folder labeled 'shaderCache'
- 4. This is recommended for any game you play just like the Graphics Packs
- Downloading Fonts
- 1. Open up the Cemu application
- 2. On the application, it will ask you to download fonts, say yes to the download
- Downloading Games (If you haven't ripped the game off of your Disk)
- 1. Download the latest Wii U USB Helper Application from - https://www.wiiuusbhelper.com/
- 2. When the file is on your Desktop, extract if needed and open up the installer
- 3. When it installs, open it up and it will ask you for a Wii U title key site, I can't tell you where to find one, but look for some on google by typing in - Wii U title key site
- 4. Set the Download Directory to where you want the game to download to
- 5. Set the Extraction Directory to where you want the game to extract to (MAKE SURE THESE ARE DIFFERENT FOLDERS)
- 6. Now search for the Smash 4 game and start downloading Smash 4, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE UPDATES AND DLC YET
- 7. When the download starts, a window on the side will pop up and show the download, go to the bottom and click the box next to UNPACK
- 8. Now you are complete with this step
- Downloading DLC and Updates
- 1. Once your Game setup is done, download Maple-Seed found here - https://github.com/Tsume/Maple-Tree/releases (Click the Mapleseed2.zip file in Assets)
- 2. Once that is downloaded, drop the download into your Cemu file and extract it there
- 3. Open up the Mapleseed2.exe file
- 4. It is going to ask where your games are stored so go to where your games are located
- 5. It will also ask where Cemu is installed, so navigate to where you store your Cemu.exe application is
- 6. Maple Seed will now pop up and now if everything is set up correctly, your Smash 4 game will pop up
- 7. Right click the game and now download the latest update (1.1.7) and the DLC
- 8. Wait for this to download, you can see the progress on the control panel screen
- 9. This step is complete, you can test by loading up Cemu and starting Smash 4
- Downloading MELEE HD
- 1. Join the Melee HD discord - found here https://discord.gg/uh479N - and navigate to #Links
- 2. - If you live in an NTSC region, scroll up to the PACKED NTSC download and click that link
- - If you live in the PAL region, Download the PACKED PAL version
- 3. Once it is done downloading, drag it to your desktop and extract if needed
- 4. Open up the mod folder and the Cemu folder and in the Cemu folder open up the Mlc01 folder
- 5. Then open up the usr -> title -> 00050000 -> 10144F00 -> Content -> Patch
- 6. Replace whats in the Cemu patch file with what was in the patch from the mod
- Downloading A Save File
- 1. Go to https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii-u-save-files-compilation.427761/ and find the file for Smash 4 and download it
- 2. Once downloaded, drag it to your desktop and extract it, you will get 2 files
- 3. If your Cemu folder is still opened to the Patch folder, go back to where the Save and Title folders are
- 4. Open up your first file titled d72e798a_255, you will see 4 files named replay, save_data, stage_edit, and texture
- 5. Go into Save -> 00050000 -> 10144f00 -> Meta -> user -> common, and replace the folders in with the folders from the d72e798a_255 folder
- 6. Open up the d72e798a file which has the Amiibo, info, news, save_data folders
- 7. In the Cemu folder, open up the 80000001 folder and replace that with whats inside the d72e798a folder
- 8. This part of the setup is complete

This article lists differences between the NTSC and PAL versions of Super Smash Bros. 4. As with Brawl and unlike in Smash 64 and Melee, these differences are largely aesthetic due to online play between regions. In-game text[edit]There are two different English translations of the game, one for the NTSC version and one for the PAL version. These translations are much more distinct than in Brawl, although they share a number of elements. Aside from name differences (as seen below), many trophy descriptions, Boxing Ring titles and other pieces of text are also different; articles on this wiki display both English translations if applicable. Similar differences apply to the French and Spanish languages, which also have two separate translations. Only Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is translated in Korean, as the Wii U was never officially released in South Korea.
Voice actors[edit]The only voice difference between the NTSC and PAL English versions applies to Wii Fit Trainer, who is voiced with an American accent in the former and with a British accent by different actors in the latter. Additionally, Lucario, Wii Fit Trainer, and Sonic are voiced in the language in French, Spanish, German and Italian. Greninja and Jigglypuff, who have different names in French and German, also have different voices in their languages (while Charizard also has different names in French and German, it doesn't speak or say its name and is therefore left undubbed; similarly, Mewtwo's Japanese dialogue is removed entirely in all Western versions). Both French versions share voice actors between these characters as well as the announcer, with the main difference audio-wise being the announcer's name calls and pronunciations, to account for name differences between the two French versions as well as differing European and Canadian pronunciations for certain names (for example, the pronunciation of Bowser's name in the NTSC French version is slightly closer to its pronunciation in English). The Spanish versions share the same announcer and the voices for Lucario and Sonic in the same way as the French versions, but the NTSC version gives Wii Fit Trainer its Latin American voice actors.
